Contemporary Oriental Dance

Treat yourself with an energizing, fun and exciting dance session!

Contemporary Oriental Dance is a blend of oriental and contemporary dance with elements of tribal fusion. The class incorporates various techniques that improve the improvisation, body control, isolations, body-mind centering, musicality, and expressiveness.

During the class we will learn more about the correct dance posture, make dance conditioning exercises, go through simple ballet exercises and turns, and learn important oriental moves. In the end, we will combine these techniques into an exciting choreography.

Essence of Bellydance (Pelvic Floor Integration)

Dive into your body, learn to let go and free your mind through dance!

Essence of Bellydance is a new holistic approach, which combines the sensual art of Bellydance with pelvic floor integration and state of the art dance- and bodywork-techniques. It awakens your sensuousness, strengthens your entire body, and increases your overall mobility, with a focus on the spine and pelvic area.

In this class, we will be focusing on body awareness and movement with pleasure and enjoyment. Every movement should feel great and come naturally. We will learn to let go of prejudices, and accept and love ourselves the way we are!

Bellydance

Using different techniques based on Essence of Bellydance, in this class we will learn various bellydance moves in detail, drill them in various ways and merge them to create an exciting choreography.

The most important thing in this class is that you have fun and gain confidence in your moves and skills. You only need your good mood and some comfy clothes, and you are ready to go!

Body Isolation and Control

Get to know your body in a completely different way.

In this class, we will build an awareness of the body control and movement isolations, and help you to incorporate these in your own dance practice. In addition, we will explore several techniques to strengthen the connection between the body and mind, while focusing on the control over the body and muscles through various exercises.

The class incorporates techniques from improvisation, contemporary dance, and tribal fusion to explore thoroughly the movement possibilities.

The class is suitable for all styles, as it builds a fundamental understanding and technique which could be incorporated in everyone's dance style. Bring your comfortable clothes and good mood, and you will be good to go!

Healthy Back Exercises

In order to improve the condition of your body and muscles, it is important to regularly do exercises. The lack of exercises leads to the replacement of muscle cell volume with nonfunctional connective tissue, which causes various problems with the advancing age.

In this class, we do a series of exercises strengthening the back and core muscles, relieving back pain, and improving the posture. Moreover, the class will bring you an awareness for the correct posture and teach you methods to deal with office work requiring long sitting hours.

Please, note that these exercises are not meant as physiotherapy, but as a workout for the back muscles. It is important that you always check with your doctor what you should and should not do if you have an injury.
